Drogba was presented with a silver boot on his return to the west London club, two years on from winning the competition for Chelsea with his last kick in a blue shirt.
But while Jose Mourinho warned his side of the threat the 36-year-old still poses, it was a quiet night for Drogba.
Blues fans offered their support for the Bridge favourite, with banners adorning the Ivorian scattered across the stadium.

The script was written for a big performance from Drogba, but they forgot to tell Samuel Eto'o - who outshined his fellow African with an early goal.
Gary Cahill doubled Chelsea's advantage before the break and the job was completed for the hosts.
Mourinho is in the market for a big-name striker this summer, but on this showing he won't be moving to bring Drogba back as a player.

Perhaps as a coach, but Drogba admitted he is unlikely to return to Stamford Bridge again in a playing capacity.
"As far as I know yeah," he said when asked if a comeback to lead the line for Chelsea was out of the question.
"It was [a hard night for me]. At the end of the day we lost and the feeling is not the best one."
