Salomon Kalou claims England must recall John Terry [PA]
Kalou - now playing at French side Lille - insists Terry's leadership qualities are essential for Roy Hodgson's squad to succeed in Brazil.
The 28-year-old spent six seasons with Terry at Stamford Bridge and believes the central defender would have a positive impact on and off the field should he return to international duty.
"A player like Terry in the team changes a lot of things - not only on the pitch but off it," Kalou said.

You need a leader like him who can direct those young players
Salomon Kalou
"He is someone who is always working hard and giving advice and helping his team-mates.
"I think that he is a great leader. If you (England) want to go to this type of competition you have to take people that will bring a positive aspect to the team and I think that JT can bring that to the England squad.
"There is a lot of young players in the team so you need a leader like him who can direct those young players."
Express Sport understands Terry has NO plans to perform a U-turn on his retirement from England and make himself available for this summer's World Cup.
