Cheltenham reach Wembley
CHELTENHAM booked their place in the League Two play-off final with Crewe after a 2-1 victory (4-1 on aggregate) over Torquay last night.
Kevin Nicholson nearly gave the home side hope just before the break when his free-kick from outside the box ricocheted off the crossbar.
Torquay keeper Bobby Olejnik was called into action early in the second half when he got down low to block Jermaine McGlashan’s effort.
But with15 minutes remaining, McGlashan struck a low shot past Olejnik to send Cheltenham on their first visit to the new Wembley.
Despite a late header by Taiwo Atieno, Marlon Pack restored the lead to the delight of their 600 fans.
