Transfer news: Liverpool make announcement, Man Utd £100m bid, Arsenal advanced talks

Chelsea are reportedly set to ask Liam Delap to snub the Under-21s European Championship in favour of the Club World Cup.

The Blues are closing in on confirming the striker's services, with The Telegraph reporting the Chelsea transfer chiefs would rather he travelled with them to the Club World Cup in the States.

Simone Inzaghi is being tipped to join Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.

Inzaghi has guided Inter Milan to their second Champions League final in three seasons, with the Serie A outfit set to take on Paris Saint-Germain in Munich on Saturday.

But according to Sacha Tavolieri, terms between the club and coach have been agreed, with a final decision expected in the coming days.

David de Gea has comitted his future to Fiorentina for the upcoming season.

As per Fabrizio Romano, the former Manchester United ace had a proposal from Ligue 1 outfit Monaco.

He's decided to stay at Fiorentina instead.

Away from transfers, Manchester City are set to add former Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders to their coaching staff as part of a shake-up.

It's reported by The Times that Lijnders, who served as Jurgen Klopp's right-hand man, is set to join the Blues.

Speaking while away on tour in Asia with Manchester United, Ruben Amorim said: “My feeling is that Bruno wants to stay. He is saying no to a lot of things”.

“The club can find other ways to make money. I feel he wants to stay for sure with Man United, you never know”

Fernandes has been linked to a big-money move away from United, with Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal rumoured to be interested.

Manchester City are in advanced talks to sign Rayan Cherki, as per Sky Germany.

It's expected the 21 year old will cost in excess of £25million.

Manchester United are also said to hold interest, but without European football, their chances of landing the Frenchman appear slim.

Jeremie Frimpong has spoken for the first time since putting pen to paper on his new Liverpool contract.

Liverpool look to be closing in on their first signing of the summer transfer window.

Ruben Amorim has revealed Manchester United are "limited" in the transfer market.

He said: "We are a bit limited (in the transfer market) and we can’t do it all in one summer. But there is a clear picture for what we want."

Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic, who has spent the season on loan at sister club Strasbourg, is open to a permanent return to Ligue 1.

L'Equipe claim that Petrovic is a target for Monaco and the player is willing to head to the principality this summer.

However, Chelsea's £21million valuation is proving a considerable stumbling block in any potential negotiations.

Brentford have turned down an opening bid from Bayer Leverkusen for their goalkeeper Mark Flekken.

Arsenal have reportedly opened up talks for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko and are aiming to get a deal done for a fee lower than his £67million release clause.

Sky Sports Germany claim that negotiations between the two clubs are underway, with Leipzig open to conditions other than the release clause being paid in full.

However, if Arsenal were to progress than the final figure could eclipse £67m, even if the starting amount is lower.

Chelsea have been informed that Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers and Mario Gila of Lazio would be stellar additions this summer.

The Blues have already looked at signing Rogers, though any deal would be expensive, while former club defender Frank Sinclair thinks that Gila could add to the backline.

He told Express Sport with William Hill: "I like Morgan Rogers at Aston Villa, Chelsea need backup on the left-hand side of the pitch in the forward positions.

"I also believe Chelsea need a top centre-back and Mario Gila is one player I like and he could really bolster the Chelsea back line."

Joao Felix joined Chelsea for £46.3million just over a year ago, but spent just a few months at Stamford Bridge before he was loaned out to AC Milan.

The Serie A giants are unlikely to sign him permanently, with Chelsea set to be dealt a very costly headache. Should the Portuguese forward be sold, they would recoup far less than the outlay a year ago.

CaughtOffside claim that Felix's former club Benfica have opened talks to bring him back to Lisbon.

However, they want to sign him on loan, while Chelsea currently prefer an outright sale.

Saudi Pro League teams and Brazilian club Flamengo are also interested, but Felix wants to remain in Europe.

Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal are reportedly confident that they can complete the big-money signing of Bruno Fernandes.

The Telegraph claim that discussions have accelerated in the past few days and Al-Hilal have been given the impression that they have a genuine possibility of landing the Manchester United captain.

The Saudi giants are eyeing three mouthwatering signings this summer to add to a squad which includes Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ruben Neves, Joao Cancelo, Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Yassine Bounou and Malcolm.

Former Wrexham star Frank Sinclair believes that the "only way" the Hollywood club can compete for promotion is to recruit players of Premier League quality.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are expected to splash the cash once again, with Sinclair of the opinion that while promotion will not be the aim this season, top-level players will be brought in.

"The only way to compete is to recruit Premier League quality to the team," Sinclair told Express Sport with William Hill. "Jamie Vardy is mentioned, and he is the type of player who would score a load of goals at this level.

"For the owners, they are in no way believing that the Premier League is needed as they are well ahead of schedule from their project, so a season of getting used to the Championship is most likely for Wrexham.

"I think they need to look at players who have Premier League experience, this is essential now as the step up to the Championship is big for Wrexham and they want to stay in the division."

Tottenham have joined Arsenal in the race for Leroy Sane, who is set to become a free agent in just over a month.

Bild claim that Spurs have a concrete interest in Sane, after Bayern Munich held unsuccessful contract renewal talks.

The player's agent, Pini Zahavi, is thought to hold a good relationship with chairman Daniel Levy.

Though if Sane does join Spurs, they are unlikely to further pursue a permanent deal for Mathys Tel, who has spent the season on loan and a clause exists to make that move permanent.

Liverpool have confirmed that they have accepted an offer from Real Madrid for Trent Alexander-Arnold, which will see him leave before the expiry of his contract.

The England full-back was due to join on a free transfer, but Madrid will now pay a reported £8.4million fee to secure his services ahead of the Club World Cup next month.

He will now join Madrid officially when the transfer window opens on Sunday.

The Reds are expected to announce his replacement, Jeremie Frimpong, today also.

Liverpool have reportedly submitted an official offer of £100million plus £10-12m in add-ons for Florian Wirtz.

That's according to Bild, who claim that Leverkusen are still holding out for £126m, while Liverpool are aiming to bring that total down to £110m.

Although, one snag is though to be which club pays the 'training fee' for Wirtz - payments to Wirtz's former clubs that helped produce the German talent.

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is reportedly giving serious consideration to a Saudi Arabia transfer this summer.

The midfielder has been the subject of a mega offer from Al-Hilal and his agent has jetted to Riyadh for negotiations.

He would triple his current salary in the Middle East and already opened the door to leaving in the immediate aftermath of United's Europa League final defeat.

“If the club thinks it’s time to part ways because they want to do some cash-in, football sometimes is like this," Fernandes said in Bilbao.
