Manchester United’s starting XI for their season opener against Fulham could have their Premier League rivals quaking if they’re able to get three more transfers across the line.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s first summer transfer window at Old Trafford has got off to a flier, with Leny Yoro (£59million) and Joshua Zirkzee (£36.5m) having already signed on the dotted line.

United don’t appear to be finished there though, with Ratcliffe and co. gearing up for yet more arrivals.

And if they’re successful in their summer transfer window pursuits, an extra £120million worth of talent could be on show for the opening game of the season.

As a result, Express Sport have taken a look at what United’s XI might look like for their first match of the Premier League season.

Goalkeeper: Onana

No major surprises here, with Andre Onana just one of a few United stars not to have been involved in any football over the summer.

Enduring a shaky start to life at Old Trafford, Onana recovered his form in the second half of the season and started to look closer to the £47million goalkeeper United thought they’d signed.

He’ll be hoping for a big season between the sticks for Erik ten Hag’s side.

Defence: MAZRAOUI, DE LIGT, Martinez, Shaw

The first of United’s potential additions, talk of Noussair Mazraoui’s move to the Red Devils continues to pick up, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka reportedly on his way out.

Valued at £25million by Transfermarkt, Mazraoui could be joined at the club by current Bayern Munich team-mate Matthijs de Ligt.

De Ligt, who is valued at a much loftier £55million, has been tipped to make up 50 per cent of a double swoop by United for two Bayern defenders.

With Yoro set to miss a chunk of the season through injury, De Ligt would most likely be partnered by Lisandro Martínez at the back.

Whereas hoping for better luck with injuries this season, Luke Shaw is likely to start as the left-sided defender in a back four for the three-time European champions.

Midfield: UGARTE, Mainoo, Fernandes

Another area of the squad that could see new additions before the window slams shut, Manuel Ugarte has emerged as a contender to plug United’s holding-midfielder gap.

Valued at £40million by Transfermarkt, Ugarte has failed to impress since joining Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

If the Uruguayan joins, he could prove the final piece of the jigsaw in Ten Hag’s midfield rebuild, with Scott McTominay likely to leave the club.

Manchester United Unveil New Signing Joshua Zirkzee

Attack: Garnacho, Zirkzee, Rashford

The last part of Ten Hag’s new-look United side, Rasmus Hojlund would’ve no doubt led the line, had the Danish international not picked up an injury earlier in pre-season.

In his place, Zirkzee is expected to come in, with the striker having netted 14 goals in 58 appearances for Bologna.

Zirkzee will be hoping to get plenty of service from Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho - the latter rumoured to have impressed during pre-season training so far.

New Man Utd XI: Onana; MAZRAOUI, DE LIGT, Martinez, Shaw; UGARTE, Mainoo; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Zirkzee
