Manchester United, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are among the clubs set to be present at TransferRoom’s Deal Day on Monday. Some of football’s top decision-makers will convene in Madrid for a day of transfer talks, which could speed up some high-profile moves.

Many of Europe’s biggest clubs subscribe to online platform TransferRoom. CEO Jonas Ankersen created it in 2017 to add transparency to the transfer market, providing a space for clubs all over the world to hold discussions over deals.

Figures from Premier League clubs United, Liverpool and Manchester City will be among those present at TransferRoom’s in-person Deal Day in Madrid on Monday. European rivals such as Bayern and Juventus will also have key personnel in attendance.

Clubs will hope that dedicated in-person talks will help them speed up negotiations in a bid to improve their squads ahead of the domestic season starting later this month. Ankersen claims that weeks’ worth of discussions could take place in just one day.

A selected group of trusted agents are also invited, with clubs able to get closer to the individuals who represent their targets.

Two deals to watch out for could involve United’s interest in Bayern duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui. The Red Devils are widely reported to have made a combined bid for the defensive pair. Both clubs will attend the Deal Deal and United's new sporting director Dan Ashworth is known to be keen on TransferRoom, Express Sport understands.

Additions to Erik ten Hag’s back line have taken priority for United’s hierarchy this summer, with Leny Yoro already signed from Lille in a £52million transfer. However, a new defensive midfielder could also arrive at Old Trafford before the end of the transfer window.

Red Devils chiefs may be able to begin talks over a signing for that position on Monday.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s discussions could centre around accelerating plans to sign a new centre-back and forward. Arne Slot has been patient this summer, carefully casting his eye over the players he has inherited from Jurgen Klopp before deciding what kind of surgery is required.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with several wingers, including Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon. There remains uncertainty over whether Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz will remain at Anfield beyond the summer.

“In the summer transfer window time is precious,” TransferRoom CEO Ankersen said. “This is the opportunity for clubs and agents to hold weeks' worth of transfer talks on a global scale in just one day. Every handshake could seal a game-changing move.

“Clubs and agents will hold direct negotiations through a series of one-to-one meetings and expand their network with exclusive networking opportunities at a pivotal time, so they can get ahead of the competition and get deals done fast.”
