England players have agreed to donate their match fees to Soccer Aid in a classy gesture ahead of Euro 2024 getting underway next weekend. Gareth Southgate and his squad will fly out to Germany on Monday ahead of their first group stage match against Serbia.

Ahead of the tournament, England's players have collectively agreed to donate their match fees to Soccer Aid in a classy gesture. It comes just hours before the annual charity match, which sees former players and celebrities join forces, takes place at Stamford Bridge.

The news was confirmed by the PFA, who posted on X (formerly Twitter): "The England men's squad are pleased to announce they will be making a donation from their match fees towards Soccer Aid for Unicef. Good luck to everyone taking part!"

Soccer Aid will see an England team made up of ex-professional footballers and celebrities take on a Rest of World team captained by former Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt. Jill Scott will wear the armband for England, with Frank Lampard and Harry Redknapp acting as joint managers.

The likes of Stuart Broad, Danny Dyer, Eddie Hearn, Tom Grennan and Paddy McGuinness are among the celebrity names who will represent England at Soccer Aid this year. They will be joined by a host of former professionals including Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott, Gary Cahill and Jermain Defoe.

Meanwhile, other big names such as Tommy Fury, Martin Compston, Jason Manford and Roman Kemp are in the Rest of World squad alongside a star-studded group of former players which includes Eden Hazard, Roberto Carlos, John Obi Mikel and Alessandro Del Piero.

Mauricio Pochettino, who was recently sacked by Chelsea, will take charge of the Rest of World team alongside his trusted assistant Jesus Perez and football freestyler Billy Wingrove.

The match can be watched live on ITV with Dermot O'Leary set to return to hosting duties alongside former England star Alex Scott. Sam Matterface will provide live commentary while Iain Sterling, who is best known as the voiceover star of Love Island, will also be in the gantry.

All money raised by Soccer Aid will go to Unicef, a global children's charity which provides humanitarian and developmental aid to children across the world. Donations can be made via text, online and phone during the live broadcast. You can also donate to Unicef at any time via their website, which can be found here.
