Transfer deadline day is upon us as sides in England, Italy, France, Spain and Germany have just one more day to bring in new faces. It's set to be a mad dash to 11pm (GMT) as always, despite fans enduring a quieter month of activity than usual.
Tottenham have been busy and they remain in the market for further acquisitions before the winter window slams shut. Ange Postecoglou has been able to benefit from the club's healthy financial position to plug gaps left by injury issues earlier in the campaign.
Chelsea could also spring into life after a barren window by their recent standards. Co-owner Todd Boehly has put a stop to two years of rampant transfer spending but may yet give Mauricio Pochettino somebody new to work with while he still has the chance.

Chelsea part with their exciting striker, and Armando Broja can remain in west London as Fulham have won the race.
A late loan request was also made by Wolves, who played out a 4-3 thriller with Manchester United this evening, but the Cottagers got the deal over the line.

The former Manchester United and England international is reportedly now 'very close' to completing a shock move to South Korean side FC Seoul.
The 31-year-old hasn't played competitive football in over six months after leaving Nottingham Forest at the end of last season when his contract expired.
The Frenchman, dubbed 'Billy the Kid' by Jurgen Klopp, has been impressing for the Reds in recent years but has failed to make a senior breakthrough.
The centre-back, who was once the youngest player to play for the Reds in the Champions League, heads to Ewood Park on loan for the remainder of the season.
Bournemouth have signed Enes Unal on loan from Getafe.
There will be an option to buy for around £14m.

It might not be your typical blockbuster football transfer, but Formula One outfit Ferrari have outdone the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.
The Italian team have announced that seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton will join them from Mercedes from the 2025 season...
Arsenal are having a busy deadline day in terms of outgoings, even if there are no incomings for fans to get excited about.
Goalkeeper Alex Runarsson has seen his Cardiff City loan spell cut short and he is joining Copenhagen on a permanent deal.
Miguel Azeez, once a highly-rated Arsenal academy graduate, is on course to sign for Atletico Baleares on a permanent basis.
Zane Monlouis, meanwhile, is a loan target for Reading.
And as covered in the blog earlier today, Omar Rekik is set to join Swiss side Servette and Marquinhos is expected to sign for Fluminense - both on loan deals.
Chelsea star Conor Gallagher is going nowhere this winter, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 23-year-old has another 18 months to run on his contract and Mauricio Pochettino is keen to keep him at Stamford Bridge.
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is a big fan of the midfielder but a move never looked like materialising at any stage of the January transfer window, and nothing concrete is in the works as the deadline closes in.
It remains to be seen whether Gallagher, Chelsea and Spurs revisit the issue of his future in the summer.

Sheffield United are in talks with Nottingham Forest over a deal for club captain Joe Worrall, according to The Telegraph.
Worrall was exiled from Forest training back in December along with team-mate Scott McKenna.
McKenna is now on loan at FC Copenhagen, and Worrall is set to join him in heading for the exit, with the Blades back in discussions after seeing an offer knocked back earlier in the month.
Leeds United have also been linked with the 27-year-old but time is running out to stop Chris Wilder's side sewing up the deal.
Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will not be leaving the club on deadline day.
Persistent transfer speculation followed the Dane throughout January but he confirmed after Wednesday's win over Brentford that he will be staying put until at least the end of the season.
On his lawyer saying he was happy to stay with Spurs, Hojbjerg added: "When the lawyer says it, I think we have to listen! So yeah, I can confirm that [I am staying].
"I definitely feel I can help the team. Again, I showed again that I’m ready and of course - like everyone - I want to start every game. There’s no secret in that."
DONE DEAL: Aston Villa confirm Morgan Rogers signing
Morgan Rogers has signed for Aston Villa in a deal which could total £15million, the club have confirmed.
The 21-year-old signed for Middlesbrough only last summer after spending four years on the books at Manchester City.
Rogers, a versatile England Under-20 international, returns to the West Midlands, where he was born and brought up. He spent nine years in West Brom's youth academy.
Villa have forked out an initial £8m transfer fee, although add-ons could push the deal to a total of £15m.

Fulham lodged an enquiry with Borussia Dortmund about signing Sebastien Haller before the January deadline, according to The Athletic.
But the Cottagers' approach was unsuccessful as Haller is poised to stay with BVB.
Fulham are scouring the winter market for alternatives to Armando Broja, with Chelsea demanding £5million to take the striker on loan for the rest of the season.
Haller, 29, previously had a spell at West Ham and he is currently at the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast, which is one of the reasons it was deemed too late for Fulham to thrash out a late agreement.

Manchester United are poised to lose highly-rated youth star Isak Hansen-Aaroen to Werder Bremen on a permanent deal, according to reports.
Hansen-Aaroen has been described as a 'Category A' talent who was expected to follow in the footsteps of Kobbie Mainoo and eventually step up to the first team.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder will sign his contract and undergo a medical at Werder Bremen later today.
Hansen-Aaroen is poised to follow Jadon Sancho, Hannibal Mejbri, Facundo Pellistri, Donny van de Beek, Alvaro Fernandez, Dan Gore and Sergio Reguilon in leaving Old Trafford this month.
Nottingham Forest and Galatasaray have agreed a deal for the permanent transfer of Serge Aurier, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Negotiations are believed to be at the 'final stages' with the clubs checking over documents before the move goes through.
Aurier, 31, has made 12 Premier League appearances for the Tricky Trees this season, with his last one coming in early December before jetting off to the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast.

Mahmoud Dahoud has joined Stuttgart on loan from Brighton, the German club have confirmed.
Dahoud arrived on the south coast last summer after signing from Borussia Dortmund, but the 28-year-old has struggled to nail down a starting spot under Roberto De Zerbi.
A senior German international, Dahoud could join Stuttgart permanently at the end of the season if they exercise a buy option in the deal.

Former Premier League midfielder Bolo Zenden believes that Karim Benzema would be a useful addition at Chelsea.
"I believe the one thing that’s missing at Chelsea is a striker that could make a difference. Benzema could be that player," Zenden told Betway.
"We go way back but look at Hasselbaink, Drogba - they always had strikers to give you the edge. That’s what they’re lacking a little. Benzema’s record is second to none - he would really help the club."
Chelsea are now open to allowing Armando Broja to leave Stamford Bridge on a straight loan deal between now and the end of the season, according to The Athletic.
It was previously believed that the Blues would only consider permanent or loan-to-buy proposals.
Wolves and Fulham are still hot on the striker's heels as the deadline approaches.
But Chelsea are demanding a significant loan fee for Broja, even though he would only be joining for three and a half months.
Clubs across Europe are working frantically to conclude their business before slightly different deadlines.
Premier League, EFL and La Liga clubs have until 11pm (GMT) to finish up.
Bundesliga sides face an earlier 5pm finish, with Serie A's closing up at 7pm and Ligue 1 at 10pm.
The Saudi Pro League deadline came and went on Tuesday earlier this week.
Some could benefit from later deadlines, however, with Turkey's window staying open until February 9, Switzerland's until February 15 and Russia's until February 22.
Andrey Santos will leave Chelsea today and join Strasbourg on loan, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Brazilian spent the first half of the season on loan at Nottingham Forest, where he was starved of game time.
Chelsea recalled him earlier this month and were initially undecided as to whether another temporary spell away from Stamford Bridge would be beneficial.
Sister club Strasbourg now look set to welcome the 19-year-old - a full Brazil international - as the player has green-lighted the move.
