Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag fumes at VAR after Tottenham draw - 'I'm used to it'
Erik ten Hag vented his frustrations in the aftermath of Man Utd's thrilling Premier League draw with Tottenham.
Erik ten Hag insists the luck will turn Manchester United’s way after suggesting his side are getting nothing from officials in the first half of the season. He vented his frustrations in the wake of the 2-2 draw with Tottenham as the Red Devils let the lead slip twice.
The United manager maintained his side were denied a clear penalty when Alejandro Garnacho was fouled by Destiny Udogie after half an hour. But Ten Hag said it was no surprise to him it was not given by referee John Brooks or that it was not referred to the VAR.
“Am I surprised it did not go to VAR? Yes but what can you do? I am used to it, all season that is the case. There is in Spurs was similar, a clear handball from Romero and I can list a number more. In some point I think it will turn in our favour.”
United were twice pegged back by Spurs with Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford’s goals cancelled out by Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur.
Ten Hag said the fact his forwards were finally firing after finding goals a problem this season bodes well for the remainder of the campaign.
“I hope they keep going, there is progress, they are coming up some routines and that is what you need, especially in the front line where a quick decision has to be made.”
Hojlund scored for only the second time in the league campaign while Rashford has four.
“I think that counts for every team when your front players are not scoring, it is going through the whole team, makes everyone insecure starting with the front players when they are not scoring.

“Then you know you can put out Garnacho, Hojlund, Rashford with Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen must be a threat.”
Spurs boss Ange PostecoglOu, who was without 11 players with injury or illness, said he was delighted with the draw. “We've had a rough week with some illness in the camp. Credit to the players they kept going to the end. It was an outstanding effort,” he said.
“You always want to win games but I couldn't be prouder of the players. I thought the way we handled the game was outstanding.”
