Manchester United have completed the signings of three youngsters in twins Jack and Tyler Fletcher alongside Watford starlet Harry Amass. A deal had been in the works for some time to sign two of former Red Devils midfielder Darren Fletcher's sons, as the pair had been making their way through the Manchester City academy.
Now United have confirmed that deals have been finalised for all three to make the move to Old Trafford - the Fletcher twins seen as a major coup for the academy and will cost approximately £1.25million.
The 16-year-olds spent nine years at United's rivals and although their father is now the Red Devils' technical director, he did not play a part in negotiations as it would likely be deemed a conflict of interest.
The England under-16 internationals are not able to sign professional contracts until they turn 17 in March, while City had thought to be ready to poach United talent Harrison Parker as revenge for the twins joining their rivals.
United released their Professional Development Phase (PDP) group for the 2023/24 season on Tuesday and both Fletchers, alongside Amass, were named in the squad as they will represent United's youth teams for the coming year.
Amass was said to have penned a four-year contract after the teenage defender made the move from Watford, despite the Hornets being keen to tie one of their most promising youngsters down on a bumper new deal.

There had been suggestions that the fee for Jack and Tyler Fletcher was a record for their age group, though it has since been dismissed by United as similar figures had been spent previously - with Charlie McNeill moving to Old Trafford from City for a fee that could rise to £1.5m.
Club figures believe that the twins have the potential to break into the first team and they are now eligible to represent United in the FA Youth Cup this season.
The Fletchers and Amass were all on schoolboy terms with their previous clubs and deemed free to speak with rival clubs regarding a move, as United's academy setup have now confirmed the arrivals of three talented young players.
