There’s a ‘feeling’ Sheikh Jassim may be tempted to lodge a fifth bid for Manchester United as the Qatari billionaire looks to seal a takeover, according to reports. His last offer arrived more than a fortnight ago. But the Glazers are still yet to decide on what to do, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe hoping to win the race while other firms are ready to provide minority investment.
Erik ten Hag guided his side to third in the Premier League table, with the Red Devils beating Fulham in their final fixture on Sunday afternoon courtesy of goals from Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes.
But uncertainty continues to surround the club, with the Glazers yet to pick a preferred candidate despite suggestions Ratcliffe is leading the race.
Now, according to BBC Sport, there’s a ‘feeling’ Sheikh Jassim could be tempted to make a higher bid for the club.
He has, so far, lodged four offers with the latest coming two weeks ago.

The Qatari billionaire bypassed the Raine Group on that occasion, instead choosing to go directly to the Glazers.
There has apparently been tension behind the scenes, with Sheikh Jassim still a mysterious figure yet to really show his hand.
With the end of the saga believed to be approaching, however, it’ll be interesting to see how developments unfold.
United still have one game of the campaign to go, with Ten Hag’s side due to lock horns with Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday afternoon.
No takeover announcement is expected to be made before then, with the club solely focused on winning the prize.
Ten Hag issued a rallying cry after United’s win over Fulham on Saturday, prompting loud noise inside Old Trafford in the process, insisting his side will do their utmost to stop City’s treble charge.
"First of all, I want to say thank you to our players,” stated the 53-year-old. "I think they played a brilliant season.
“Thank you to the staff and I also want to thank you all. Thank you for your contribution, backing us and the support.
"It was great, so thank you. But when I say these words, there's still one game to go and I'm sure these players will give everything to beat Manchester City next week.
“I’m sure we have a really good chance to take the cup back to Old Trafford."
