Amad Diallo demonstrates skills in training before Man Utd move
Sunderland boss Tony Mowbray has admitted defeat when it comes to keeping hold of Amad next season. The Manchester United star has impressed at the Stadium of Light since his arrival on loan back in the summer. However, a temporary move to a Premier League side could be the next step when it comes to his development.
Amad joined Sunderland back in the summer having previously struggled during a loan spell with Rangers in Scotland.
And the Manchester United star has enjoyed a positive campaign so far, netting 11 goals and clocking up two assists.
Mowbray has been full of praise for the Ivory Coast international, who was signed by United during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s time as manager.
And he’s now admitted defeat when it comes to keeping hold of Amad for next season, while expressing a belief he’s ready to play in the Premier League.
“Amad is a wonderful footballer and enjoys the environment but he is a Manchester United player and cost them a lot of money,” he said.

“They will have him back next month and he’ll probably go on their pre-season tour and they’ll decide where he is.
“It’s their decision but unless he’s going out on loan again, then we just have to abide by that.
“And even if he was loaned out, I would suggest there are plenty of Premier League sides who have seen his talent and recognise he could play for them.
“So my message to our fans is enjoy him while you can.”
Mowbray also thinks Amad has come on leaps and bounds in recent times, insisting he had ‘natural talent’.

“He's a nice kid, he is very, very talented, sometimes you have to give him a little gee to make sure he knows how important this game is, but if you put it into context he is not our player, he has another home at Manchester United.
"Every game is massively important and sometimes when you are as talented as him, I have to make sure he doesn't just turn up and go through the motions because it's quite comfortable for him and he can do what he wants.
“We've all enjoyed working with Amad, he is a fantastic footballer and I'll be really interested to see what direction his career takes."
Back in January, meanwhile, Erik ten Hag shed light on his decision to loan Amad out.

“Because in that moment, I didn’t see him as a starting XI or a player who already had an impact,” he said when asked about the forward’s exit.
“But I see and I value his potential and his capabilities.
“I saw that he needs experience in men’s football, senior football.
“I think in many aspects of football, to get stronger physically, mentally, also skills-wise to improve that, to develop that, so that he can have value for us.”
