Sheikh Jassim is primed to launch a second bid for Manchester United after his advisers held takeover talks on Thursday.
That’s according to Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol, who said on Twitter: “Sheikh Jassim expected to make second bid for Man United within 10 days after his advisers visited the club today.
“All bidders will be asked to make another bid in next 10 days.”
And he also quoted a US source as saying: “There should be no doubt at all that Jassim wants to be the owner & custodian of United.”
As well as Sheikh Jassim and Ratcliffe, two parties from the United States are also interested in buying the club.
Pellistri made his full debut for United against Betis on Thursday.
And Scholes hailed the forward for his performance, saying on BT Sport: “I thought he did alright. He’s not played a lot of football but I thought he was quite lively going on the outside.
“A few early crosses I think he overhit possibly, but the team were a little bit like that, to be fair.
“But he was a real threat. I thought he was the one looking to create and be dangerous, hit the post - was a bit unlucky and it would have been nice for him to get his goal there.
“He’s very direct, I don’t think you’ll see any fancy stuff from him. He will be direct, go towards goal and try and cross the balls for forwards in the box, and get shots on goal. I thought overall he was alright.”

Maguire on his game time
Speaking after he impressed against Betis, Harry Maguire admitted he was hoping to win back his place in the United side permanently.
"I work hard at the training ground and that's all that you can do,” he stated.
"You can work hard in training, I put everything into training. We have good coaches at this club and they put on really good sessions for us the day after games.
"Listen, it's not been too long since my last game, I think it is a couple of weeks ago, I have started five, six, seven since the World Cup.
"Obviously, I want to play more, I want to start more games, but I’m playing my part on and off the field. It’s nice to be out there leading the team and getting the victory, which is the most important part for myself and the club."
