Before the game kicked off, all eyes were on Facundo Pellistri.
The Uruguay international was given his first start for the club in the absence of regular duo Antony and Alejandro Garnacho, who missed out through illness and injury respectively.
And though Pellistri was unable to score or assist, it was a bright showing from the youngster.
He was particularly impressive during the early stages of the second half, causing Betis problems with his direct dribbling.
And he’s now sent a message to his manager that he’s ready to start on a more regular basis.
