Man City v Man Utd: Pictures
Manchester United are a team back in crisis again after Sunday’s humiliating 6-3 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. The Red Devils were outplayed across the field as hat-tricks from Erling Haaland and Phil Foden gave the visitors all three points. Now, the onus will be on them to ensure they bounce back…
Manchester United had gone into their match with City full of confidence after winning five of their last six matches across all competitions.
However, the Red Devils had no answer as Pep Guardiola’s side put in a ruthless display to claim all three points.
City were 4-0 up by half time, with Foden and Haaland both bagging braces to get the home fans on their feet. The duo then completed their hat-tricks after the interval.
And though United were able to respond via a double from Anthony Martial and a terrific strike from Antony, they were unable to emerge from the clash with anything to their name.
There were many bad performers on the day - but Express Sport will now take a look at three players who should be dropped following the showdown.

Scott McTominay has improved in the short time since Ten Hag’s appointment.
But the Scotland international is still prone to the odd stinker and endured a torrid day at the office as City ran riot.
With Casemiro watching on, it’s now time for Ten Hag to start unleashing the Brazil international from the start of matches.
The former Real Madrid star’s experience would benefit this side, while his talent is evident with the Samba star helping United improve after a horrendous first half.
Casemiro deserves to play and McTominay, in the wake of this game, should be demoted to the bench.

Marcus Rashford
Yes, Marcus Rashford has come on leaps and bounds in recent weeks.
But now Martial is fit, the France international should become Ten Hag’s first-choice No 9 - with his cameo in the second half certainly encouraging.
The United star just looks perfect for Ten Hag’s system, especially as a natural striker.
Rashford would potentially be better on the left but, with Jadon Sancho and Antony doing well in those positions, may now find himself watching on from the sidelines.
The 24-year-old has all the talent in the world - but his lack of consistency remains infuriating.

Ten Hag’s verdict
Speaking after the defeat to City, Ten Hag accused his United players of showing a ‘lack of fight’ at the Etihad.
"It's quite simple, it's a lack of belief,” he said. “When you don't believe on the pitch then you can't win games, that is unacceptable. We get undisciplined at following rules and you get hammered, that's happened today.
"For me it was a surprise. We were not on the front foot, we were not brave on the ball and there were spaces to play but we were not brave enough.
"All the credit to City, but it's nothing to do with City, our performance was not good. It had to do with the belief as individuals and as team.
"From the first minute I felt it and at half-time we changed things and we changed attitude. We saw a different Manchester United after half-time and we scored goals, we created some more. On the ball we were more brave, we came in the opponent's half and we scored three goals.
"In this moment I can't think about positives. We let our fans down, we let ourselves down and we're hugely disappointed."
