Man Utd v Real Sociedad: Pictures
Manchester United, after a slow start, actually ended up having quite a productive transfer window. Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Antony, Casemiro and Martin Dubravka all moved to Old Trafford, bolstering the Red Devils’ squad in the process. So Express Sport will now take a look at their ratings on FIFA 23, which is due to be released at the end of the month.
Erik ten Hag’s first United signing was Malacia, with the left-back joining from Feyenoord having previously looked likely to move to Lyon instead.
And the Netherlands international has been given a rating of 79 following his move to Old Trafford, per RealSport101.
Malacia was initially benched for United’s first two Premier League matches, against Brighton and Brentford.
But he’s since bounced back to become a regular in the side, starting his team’s last five matches across all competitions.
Malacia ranks one point lower than Luke Shaw, who has been given a rating of 80 after enduring an inconsistent campaign last term.
Christian Eriksen
A year ago, many were unsure whether Christian Eriksen would ever grace a football pitch again.
The Denmark international suffered a cardiac arrest at the European Championships last summer, with his team-mates helping to save his life during a match with Finland.
Eriksen has bounced back, however, and flourished for Brentford after joining on a short-term contract in January.
His fine form in the capital earned him a move to United, where he’s since enjoyed a positive start to life in Manchester - becoming an undroppable figure under Ten Hag.
