Marcus Rashford reflects on end of Man Utd's pre-season tour in Australia
Manchester United have confirmed their second and third summer transfers as Erik ten Hag's maiden season as manager grows ever closer. But the Red Devils are still on the market to bolster his squad ahead of the September 1 deadline.
On Tuesday, United officially unveiled Christian Eriksen, who has signed a three-year contract after becoming a free agent this summer. A day later, the club presented Lisandro Martinez as their latest stellar defensive signing, with the Argentine joining Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malacia in reinforcing Ten Hag's back line.
But speculation surrounding Barcelona midfielder is still rife as the Dutchman holds onto the hope of reuniting with his priority transfer target. And he's also understood to be eyeing fresh blood in attack amid continuous murmurs over Cristiano Ronaldo's future at Old Trafford.
It's been a whirlwind week of transfer activity at United so far, and there's still room for plenty more where that came from...

Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer saga could divide the Old Trafford changing room in a major blow to Erik ten Hag's start as manager.
The Daily Star report that the Portugal captain's situation is ‘threatening to split the dressing room before a ball has even been kicked’.
Issues behind the scenes contributed to the club's poor season last year and the Dutchman has been working hard to try and make them a matter of the past. However, the 37-year-old's situation is making it increasingly difficult for him.
The Red Devils are reportedly preparing a bid of £42m for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic Savic.
The Serbian international is seen as an alternative to Frenkie de Jong and the club could now be set to bid for the player according to Italian organisation Mesagero.
While the offer will test the Serie A side's resolve it is likely the Red Devils will have to offer closer to £60m to force the Italians to part with their prized asset.

Manchester United have been given three players that could transform their transfer window and fortunes next season.
Our man Ryan Taylor has encouraged the Red Devils to chase de Jong, Victor Oshimen and Benjamin Sesko in order to improve next season.
United still look weak in midfield and could do with more attacking options. The three men would hence prove to be valuable additions, helping to improve a problem areas.
Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be keen to remain professional and hence will not refuse to play for Manchester United in order to force through a transfer.
That is according to 90min who report that the Portugal captain will play if called upon while he remains a United player.
The forward reiterated his desire to leave in crisis talks with Erik ten Hag on Tuesday but has linked back up with the squad.
He is unlikely to start the first game of the season against Brighton but could make a return to action in a friendly against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.
Cristiano Ronaldo would join Manchester United's fiercest rivals Liverpool this summer if he could because he has no loyalty to the club, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
The 37-year-old is looking for a way out of United in search of Champions League football but has so far failed to find a suitor.
And Agbonlahor believes it's at a stage now where if Liverpool emerged onto the scene, he would bite their hand off for the chance to move to Anfield.
He told talkSPORT: "Cristiano Ronaldo would join Liverpool this summer, if he could. They are big rivals of Man United but it’s about Ronaldo.
"He will go anywhere he can still play Champions League football, add to his record and win titles. I don’t think Ronaldo has any loyalty to United, Real Madrid or Juventus."
Manchester United youngster Isak Hansen-Aaroen was training with the first team on Thursday as Erik ten Hag continues to cast an eye on the entirety of his ranks.
The 17-year-old forward is yet to make his senior debut for the club but has shone in the youth ranks and could be one of the next United starlets to break through.
If Ten Hag likes what he sees, he could give Hansen-Aaroen the chance to impress in one of the Red Devils' two friendlies this weekend.
Being Norwegian, he will be chomping at the bit to travel to his homeland to face Atletico Madrid in Oslo on Saturday.

Manchester United have revealed that Lisandro Martinez is the club's new number six.
Martinez inherits the shirt from Paul Pogba, who left on a free transfer this summer and returned to Juventus.
The Argentine follows in the footsteps of iconic United defenders to have worn the shirt at some stage in their Old Trafford careers, including Rio Ferdinand, Jaap Stam and Gary Pallister.
Jorge Mendes is hell-bent on landing Cristiano Ronaldo a transfer to a Champions League club this summer, it seems.
ESPN journalist Rodrigo Faez has claimed Mendes is 'crazy' about securing Ronaldo a stay in Europe's elite competition this season.
The 37-year-old has told United once again this week that he wants to leave, but there is currently a lack of interest and lack of willingness from the club to offload him.
Paul Pogba's injuries were something Manchester United became all too familiar with during his tumultuous second spell at the club.
And, unfortunately, he's been dealt his latest setback just as he was getting started after leaving Old Trafford for Juventus on a free transfer again this summer.
La Gazetta dello Sport report Pogba could miss the World Cup in Qatar due to a knee injury he's suffered in his first few weeks back in Turin.
He will visit a specialist consultation to determine the required treatment for a tear of the lateral meniscus in his right knee.
But it looks like the French midfielder could be out of action for the remainder of the year. His presence and quality would be sorely missed in the World Cup.
Manchester United-linked Benjamin Sesko stole the show as Red Bull Salzburg defeated Liverpool 1-0 in a pre-season encounter on Wednesday.
Sesko scored a sensational winning goal and showcased impressive quality on and off the ball as it became apparent why he's linked with a big move across Europe this summer.
United's interest is reportedly concrete, and they're being kept informed of his situation. It'll perhaps be something the club act upon if Cristiano Ronaldo seals his exit.
If you haven't seen Sesko's goal against the Reds, it's well worth watching. He also pulled off this eye-catching piece of skill...

Manchester United's exhaustive pursuit of Frenkie de Jong has potentially hit its latest hurdle as Barcelona look to raise funds.
United have agreed an initial £63m deal for the Dutch midfielder, but issues regarding deferred salary payments Barcelona owe him have stalled the move.
And now, Cadena Ser report that Barca would be prepared to cash in on Andre ter Stegan instead of De Jong if they can't settle the dispute.
The La Liga giants need to raise funds to register new signings Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde, and it seems they're willing to go to any length to do so.
Cristiano Ronaldo has demanded that Manchester United terminate his contract to facilitate a departure this summer, the Mail report.
The 37-year-old striker returned to Carrington this week and has held showdown talks with Erik ten Hag and United figures.
However, the meetings have so far failed to change his mind, and he is hell-bent on leaving for Champions League football.
He still has one year left to run on his Red Devils deal, though, and the club remain firm on their stance. Ronaldo is NOT for sale, and no suitable offers have arrived.
Welcome to Express Sport's live coverage of all things United throughout Thursday, July 28.
