Aston Villa's Marlon Harewood has suffered an injury blow
Harewood, 30, will be sidelined for three months with a broken metatarsal suffered in training at Bodymoor Heath.
Harewood scored six goals in 15 games when recently on loan to Championship leaders Newcastle, who were hoping to extend his spell. Hull and the West Ham were also linked with a possible loan move for Harewood.
Villa have confirmed that the striker will have surgery on the bone in his foot today. Harewood was loaned out to Wolves for the end of last season and has started only one Premier League match for Villa.
Left-back Stephen Warnock is battling to overcome a shin problem in time to face Arsenal at Villa Park tomorrow.
