Notts County close to salvation thanks to Eriksson and Trembling
Trembling and director of football Eriksson were in London yesterday talking to investors .
Notts County need £2million immediately to cover debts, including a £600,000 tax bill that needs to be paid tomorrow.
Trembling bought the club when the initial backers, never named, pulled out, leaving Eriksson and plans to turn Notts County into a Premier League club in five years in crisis.
A club spokesman said: “Genuine progress is being made with our potential investors and we remain extremely confident that the investment will be secured to ensure the club can meet all its financial obligations.”
