Press conference with Manchester United's caretaker manager Michael Carrick ahead of his side's Premier League match against Chelsea
Erling Haaland's exploits at Borussia Dortmund have made him arguably the most sought-after player in world football. And with a £68million release clause active over the summer, clubs are queuing up to sign him with the striker holding a certain preference on his next move.
Haaland moved to Dortmund in January 2020, having been touted as one of Europe's most wanted youngsters after excelling in the Champions League at Red Bull Salzburg.
The Norwegian scored 29 goals in just 27 games in Austria to alert interest from across the continent and Dortmund's youthful culture gave Haaland a chance to shine on the big stage.
He has done that, scoring 70 goals in 69 games to reportedly garner the interest of Real Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United, according to Goal.
And although his preferred destination is the Spanish capital, Haaland is ready to bide his time and wait as he is reportedly yet to make a final decision.

Dortmund transfer chief Sebastian Kehl believes the club can keep the ex-Molde man.
"Of course, we are trying to give him the feeling that Borussia Dortmund continues to be a top address for him and that he can still develop here," Kehl said.
"Maybe we can still convince him. We will fight for him. We will try everything.
"The decision has not yet been made, but I would bet €100 [on him staying]."

Other Dortmund chiefs remain slightly less optimistic about Haaland's future.
And CEO Hans Joachim Watzke believes that despite reports claiming Mino Raiola has been influential in the Norwegian's movement away from the club, the super agent only wants the best for the prodigy.
"The ball lies in Erling's court," he said back in September.
"I get on well with Raiola because we can assess each other well.
