Atletico Madrid are belived to have offered Sergio Aguero to Chelsea for £30m
The Spaniards are believed to have offered to sell Argentinian striker
Sergio Aguero, 21, to Chelsea for £30million – providing they can have
him back on loan for the rest of the season.
They have also agreed to offload Argentinian Maxi Rodriguez, 29, to
Liverpool, and the winger is expected to give a decision within the
next 48 hours.
The proposed move raises immediate question marks over the future of
Ryan Babel at Anfield, even though the Dutch winger has vowed to stay
and fi ght for his place.
But flop striker Andriy Voronin, 30, is definitely leaving and is
expected to complete a £2m move to Dynamo Moscow over the weekend.
Elsewhere, Hull are struggling to hang on to Brazilian midfi elder
Geovanni, 29, who is looking for a move and is being targeted by
several clubs in Europe.
Meanwhile, Arsenal and Manchester City are believed to be tracking
Lazio forward Mauro Zarate, 22, who had a failed loan spell at
Birmingham, but the Italians £20m valuation of the player could prove a
problem.
Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is expected to step up his efforts to sign Roma
attacker Stefano Okaka, 20, after losing Bobby Zamora, 28, with a
shoulder injury for the rest of the month.
And West Ham are struggling to hang on to England defender Matthew Upson, 30, a target for Liverpool and Spurs.
Leeds hitman Jermaine Beckford, 26, is expected to seal a £3.5m move to
Newcastle in the next few days with the Elland Road outfit eyeing up
Peterborough hotshot Aaron McLean, 26, as his replacement.
That would clear the way for Posh boss Mark Cooper to return to his
non-league roots and snap up Cambridge United striker Chris Holroyd,
23, for around £250,000.
