Newcastle legend Alan Shearer discusses the club takeover
Arsenal icon Ian Wright says Donny van de Beek should seal a move away from Manchester United after failing to establish himself in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side. The 24-year-old joined the Red Devils last September but has been a bit part player so far.

“He’s not going to get the opportunity to play and he should be playing because he’s a fantastic player.”
Van de Beek scored 41 goals in 175 appearances for Ajax and was regarded as one of the most talented midfielders in Europe when he arrived in England.
But Wright has now slammed Ed Woodward’s decision to even sign the player in the first place.
“The way that Ajax play with their possession football, the way he’s grown up in that Ajax academy, knowing how to make moves off of a team that are able to continue to hold the ball so he can make his moves,” Wright continued.

“It’s totally different to how Man United would play.
“It’s baffling to me that he went to Man United because it's not like they’re going to change the way they play for Donny van de Beek to play. The signing was wrong.”
Van de Beek has been limited to just six minutes of Premier League action this season, coming off the bench in his side’s 4-1 humbling of Newcastle United.
The midfielder was handed a start for the Champions League clash with Young Boys as United went ahead in the first half.

But he was hauled off at the break before Solskjaer’s men relinquished their lead and suffered a shock defeat.
Van de Beek, who also started Man Utd’s Carabao Cup loss to West Ham last month, almost joined Everton in the summer before the move was blocked by Old Trafford chiefs on deadline day.
But the Toffees could re-enter negotiations in January as the player looks to end his Manchester misery.
