Ahead of making his 100th Belgium cap against the Czech Republic, Lukaku suggested he doesn't see himself on the same level as Ronaldo.
He said: "Don't ever compare me to Cristiano Ronaldo, never. Cristiano Ronaldo is, for me, in the top three best players in the history of football. I'm not going to rank him from first to third, but he's in there.
"What he has achieved in football today for players of my generation is something exceptional.
"I was lucky enough to play against him in Italy, and now that he's back in the Premier League, it's all good for English football. As for the rest, comparing statistics and all that, it's useless."

Ronaldo is set to make his second Red Devils debut against the Magpies as United look to secure a third win in four Premier League games this season.
The Portugal international has enjoyed facing Newcastle over the years, scoring six goals and registering five assists in 11 such games.
While Lukaku has played down competition with Ronaldo, it will be interesting to see which top-class frontman finds the net more in the 2021/22 campaign.
