Euro 2024 is in the rear-view mirror and the new Premier League season is less than a month away, ramping up the pressure on ambitious sides looking to recruit before the resumption of competitive action.

Manchester United and Chelsea are among those to have made a busy start to the summer transfer window, with significant incomings and outgoings at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge. Last year's primary title challengers, Arsenal and Manchester City, are also hard at work and keen to strengthen.

Saudi side reveal Premier League star as latest big-money signing

Moussa Diaby's short-lived spell in the Premier League has come to an end, with Saudi side Al-Ittihad announcing the winger as their latest get.

It's suggested a package of £50million was agreed between Al-Ittihad and Aston Villa, who bought Diaby for a club-record fee last summer.

Aston Villa latest club linked with 'next John Stones'

Aston Villa are among the teams said to be keeping a keen eye on defender Dean Huijsen.

The Spanish youth international spent a chunk of last season out on loan at Roma, with Fabrizio Romano reporting the Old Lady will sanction a sale.

Bournemouth, Wolfsburg and Stuttgart are just some of the clubs linked to the player who has earned comparisons to Manchester City man John Stones.

James Rodriguez linked with shock Premier League return

Former Everton man James Rodriguez has reportedly been offered to several Premier League clubs.

According to TBR, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are among the clubs in England's top-flight who could make a move for the Columbian.

Rodriguez spent one season with the Toffees, making 26 appearances, scoring six goals and registering eight assists during. that time.

Arsenal man says yes to Serie A exit

Arsenal's Jakub Kiwior has reportedly said yes to a transfer that will see him join Inter Milan this summer.

As per reports in Italy, the defender is open to a San Siro switch, having found minutes under Mikel Arteta hard to come by.

Kiwior joined the Gunners 18 months ago and has made just 38 appearances across all competitions since.

Everton and Brentford poised for bidding war over Irish star

Everton and Brentford are reportedly eyeing up a move for Lyon star Jake O’Brien.

As per Foot Mercato, O’Brien is attracting interest from the Premier League duo.

Trent Alexander-Arnold set for new Liverpool deal

Transfer speculation surrounding Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to be put to bed, with reports suggesting he's set for a new contract at Anfield.

Talk about a move to Real Madrid had been picking up, which would've seen Alexander-Arnold link-up with England team-mate Jude Bellingham in the Spanish capital.

But it's reported by talkSPORT that Alexander-Arnold will instead extend his stay with the Reds.

Everton continue busy summer with Danish delight

Everton are reportedly closing in on the signing of Jesper Lindstrom, according to Fabrizio Romano.

It's claimed a loan fee in the region of £2million will be paid by the Toffees to Napoli for his services.

Man United travelling squad for US tour revealed

Manchester United's 29-man squad for their US tour has been announced, with Jadon Sancho among the travelling players.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also involved, as is Victor Lindelof, with the pair both having been linked with moves away from Old Trafford this summer.

Tottenham close in on deal

Tottenham are closing in on a deal to sign 18-year-old winger Min-hyuk Yang from Gangwon, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The agreement between the two clubs is being completed, with medical tests then set to follow.

Yang has featured 18 times for South Korea at under-17s level and bagged two goals for Gangwon on Saturday as they thrashed Jeju United 4-0.

Chelsea progressing with Jorgensen deal

Chelsea are progressing in talks to land Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen, according to Sky Sports. And there is optimism at the club that a deal for the 22-year-old can be completed.

The Blues see Jorgensen as a back-up to Robert Sanchez but want him to compete for a regular place between the sticks. Meanwhile Djordje Petrovic, who usurped Sanchez as first-choice goalkeeper under Mauricio Pochettino, wants to stay at the club and fight for his place.

Man Utd suffer Simons blow

Manchester United have suffered a transfer blow as RB Leipzig are confident of landing Paris Saint-Germain star Xavi Simons on loan for a second season, according to Fabrizio Romano.

United are said to be interested in securing a permanent move for the midfielder following his impressive displays at Euro 2024.

PSG have no plans to sell Simons but are open to a loan move, with Leipzig and Bayern Munich battling to secure the 21-year-old’s signature.

Guardiola offers Ederson update

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted he’s unsure about the future of goalkeeper Ederson. The Spaniard was drawn on the player following City’s pre-season defeat to Celtic last night.

“I don't know - he has to see maybe now other options,” Guardiola said. “Of course I'd like him to stay. Depends now [on] the clubs.

“I don't know the situation, no contact in the last days. A question of training and being with us until the transfer window finishes and we see what happens.

“He's been the keeper for the team that has incredible success the last seven or eight years. We have an incredible three keepers, especially the two who play regularly.

“A really important position in the team. Really good team [of keepers]. We will see until the last day of the transfer window when anything can happen. Not just Ederson but many players.”

Maguire tipped for Chelsea move

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been encouraged by former Red Devils star Dwight Yorke to make a surprise move to join Premier League rivals Chelsea this summer. The England international could be left out of Erik ten Hag's starting team following the arrival of £58million sensation Leny Yoro.

“Harry Maguire could sit out the last year of his contract and know he’s going to play at some point due to injuries, but United really need to be ruthless and get rid of him,” Yorke told Boylesports.

“They have Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof and maybe Leny Yoro, but Harry Maguire is in the position that he doesn’t have to go anywhere if he doesn’t want to.

“I think we need to freshen things up at United and bring new faces in and take the future of the football club forward rather than backwards. Having said that, Maguire has shown that he is very capable of playing at the highest level still and elite clubs like Chelsea, who are trying to rebuild, might take a chance on Maguire.”

Guardiola rules out McAtee loan

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola appeared to rule out another loan move for James McAtee in the aftermath of his side’s pre-season friendly defeat at the hands of Celtic last night.

The 21-year-old midfielder has spent the last two seasons on loan with Sheffield United, racking up 75 appearances for the Blades.

“I’d love to have James McAtee and to keep him next season,” Guardiola explained. “He’s special guy to play in small spaces, in the pockets, we don’t have many. I’ve a high, high opinion of McAtee and I also know his huge potential.”

Chelsea abandon Ramsdale interest

Chelsea have abandoned their interest in Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and will not pursue a move for the England ace, according to The Mirror.

The Blues are on the hunt for a new keeper and had been linked with Ramsdale, who lost the No. 1 spot at the Emirates Stadium to David Raya last season.

De Bruyne set for showdown talks

Kevin De Bruyne will reportedly be called in for showdown talks with Manchester City bosses when he returns to the Etihad Stadium ahead of the new campaign. The 33-year-old only has one more year remaining on his City contract and is said to have agreed personal terms on a transfer to Saudi giants Al-Ittihad.

De Bruyne has refused to rule out a move to the Saudi Pro League, which captured former City stars Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte last summer.

And, according to the Daily Mail, City will initiate showdown talks to ascertain De Bruyne’s next steps when he returns to Manchester next month following his endeavours at Euro 2024.

Arsenal want permanent Kiwior exit

Arsenal now want to offload Jakub Kiwior on a permanent basis or include a mandatory buy clause in a loan move, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The defender is said to be attracting interest from Inter Milan, but the Gunners haven’t received any transfer approach from the Italian club to date.

Kiwior joined Arsenal from Spezia Calcio at the start of 2023 but is now set to make way for Riccardo Calafiori, who will join the club from Bologna.

Bayern Munich firm with Man Utd

Bayern Munich are being firm with Manchester United and will not negotiate on their price for Matthijs de Ligt, according to Sky Sports Germany.

The German giants are demanding £42million plus bonus payments for the Netherlands international, but United have only offered less than £34m so far. The centre-back’s sale price has become an important internal issue at the Allianz Arena.

Chelsea make £35m demand

Chelsea have demanded £35million in exchange for centre-back Trevoh Chalobah, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, with the Blues ready to cash in on the ace.

Chelsea have been contacted by three clubs playing European football, who are all interested in signing the 25-year-old. The player was left out of the west Londoners’ squad for their pre-season tour to the USA.

Kieran Trippier heading out of Newcastle

Kieran Trippier is reportedly set to leave Newcastle United this summer amid interest from the Saudi Pro League.

According to the Northern Echo, Newcastle are keen to offload the 33-year-old, who has entered the final year of his contract.

There are no plans to enter talks over a new deal, and Tino Livramento is viewed as Eddie Howe's long-term right-back.

Tottenham and Aston Villa in swap talks

Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are interested in completing a swap deal involving Giovani Lo Celso and Jacob Ramsey, according to reports.

Fabrizio Romano claims that discussions have taken place but aren't yet advanced, and an agreement isn't close to being in place.

Previous reports have stated that Spurs would need to pay £20m on top of Lo Celso to lure Ramsey away from Villa Park.

Crystal Palace close on Ismaila Sarr

Crystal Palace have made a £12.6million bid for Marseille winger Ismaila Sarr, according to reports.

Foot Mercato claim that negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing as Palace close in on Michael Olise's successor.

Palace are said to be discussing the final details of Sarr's contract with his representatives after receiving the 26-year-old winger's green light.

He would sign a deal until 2029 if an agreement can be struck between the Eagles and Marseille.

West Ham out of Jonathan David race

West Ham United have dropped out of the race to sign Lille striker Jonathan David despite agreeing to meet his £30million valuation.

According to The Sun, West Ham were ready to push through a deal for the Canadian, who has entered the final year of his contract.

But they have refused to meet the demands of David's agent, who wanted an eye-watering £10m as part of the transfer.

Manchester United are reportedly getting ruthless with their summer clearout by transfer-listing at least seven first-team players.

According to ESPN, INEOS are pushing to raise further funds to boost Erik ten Hag's transfer budget after completing two early deals for a combined £88m.

It's claimed that Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Christian Eriksen, Jadon Sancho and Antony are in the shop window.

United have already sold Alvaro Fernandez, Donny van de Beek, Willy Kambwala and Mason Greenwood fora. combined £47m.

Wolves tracking South American wonderkid - EXCUSIVE

Wolverhampton Wanderers are keeping tabs on teenage winger Gabriel Aguayo after following his breakthrough season in South America.

Express Sport understands that the club have explored what it would take to sign him permanently this summer.

Aguayo notched one goal and four assists in 18 first-team appearances for Paraguayan side Cerro Porteno last season, having broken into the senior side at the age of 19.

The teenage talent can play out wide or in attacking midfield, and he has earned admirers for his high work rate and ability to drag his team up the pitch. It is understood he would be available on a permanent basis for just £3million.

Wolves remain interested in Aguayo and could make an offer later in the summer once more pressing matters have been ticked off their to-do list. But dallying could see them miss out on the Paraguayan starlet, with MLS sides also in hot pursuit.

Nashville SC and D.C. United have both held discussions with a view to signing Aguayo on an initial loan deal which would be made permanent this winter.

Chalobah takes stand at Chelsea

Trevoh Chalobah is determined to fight for his place in Chelsea's first team despite being left out of their pre-season tour of the USA, according to the Evening Standard.

Chalobah finished last season strongly, earning him admirers at Fulham and Crystal Palace.

But the two London clubs are yet to bite at Chelsea's £25million valuation of the defender.

Chalobah may not be keen on a move regardless, with the 25-year-old's contract running for another four years.

Palace agree terms with Sarr

Crystal Palace have agreed personal terms with Ismaila Sarr, according to The Athletic.

Sarr previously spent two seasons in the Championship and two more in the Premier League with Watford.

The 26-year-old spent last campaign with Marseille, scoring three Ligue 1 goals.

While he is seemingly up for the move to Selhurst Park, there is still plenty to negotiate as Palace and Marseille are yet to agree on a fee.

PSG make contact for Nico Williams

Paris Saint-Germain have made 'tentative contact' with Athletic Bilbao to discuss the signing of Nico Williams, according to The Athletic.

Williams was one of the standout players in Spain's Euro 2024 triumph.

And Premier League clubs have been heavily linked with the wide man over the past few weeks.

As yet, nobody has triggered Williams' release clause of between £46.3million and £50.4m.

Options pile up for Sancho

Jadon Sancho has plenty of options this summer despite building bridges with Erik ten Hag and returning to Manchester United.

According to Sky Sports, Paris Saint-Germain have explored the conditions of a potential deal.

Juventus and an unnamed Premier League club are also interested, as well as Borussia Dortmund, who took Sancho on loan for the second half of last season.

The winger is expected to join up with United on their pre-season tour of the USA over the coming days.

Brighton and Dortmund at odds over Gross fee

Brighton and Borussia Dortmund are in a standoff over Pascal Gross' transfer fee, according to Bild.

BVB are reportedly offering just over £6.7million for the 33-year-old, although the Seagulls are hoping to bank £8.4m.

Gross has been a dependable player for Brighton over the past seven years, scoring 32 goals in 261 appearances, and playing in a range of different positions.

Manchester United have internally discussed signing Ivan Toney this summer as the Brentford striker prepares to report back for pre-season training.

The Athletic claim that Toney could fetch £50million, with his price tag dropping since last year due to a long-term betting ban and the fact his contract expires next June.

The striker has openly discussed the fact he wants to test himself at a 'top club' and 'compete for trophies'.

United have already signed Joshua Zirkzee this summer and fellow forward Rasmus Hojlund is also at Old Trafford.

Torino announce Che Adams signing

Che Adams has joined Torino on a free transfer, the Italian club have confirmed.

Adams became a free agent after running down his Southampton contract, which expired on June 30.

The 28-year-old scored 16 goals in the Championship last term as the Saints won promotion back to the Premier League.

Adams ends his stint on the south coast with a record of 49 goals in 191 games.

Man City set Julian Alvarez price

Manchester City want £76million to part ways with Julian Alvarez this summer, according to The Athletic.

The Argentine is said to be growing frustrated with his peripheral role in Pep Guardiola's team, which is spearheaded by fellow striker Erling Haaland.

Atletico Madrid have reportedly made contact with City in recent weeks but there are serious doubts over whether they could meet the reigning Premier League champions' financial demands.

Alvarez scored 19 goals in all competitions last season.

Tottenham announce two exits

Tottenham have bid farewell to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as the Dane heads to Marseille on loan with an obligation to make the move permanent.

Hojbjerg racked up nearly 200 appearances for Spurs since signing from Southampton in 2020 but his game time was limited by manager Ange Postecoglou last season.

Youngster Matthew Craig has also agreed a move, to Barnsley on loan.

Craig will gain valuable experience in League One before likely rejoining the north Londoners ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Both exits were announced by Tottenham on Monday.

Chelsea get green light

Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen would be keen on a move to Chelsea, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The 24-year-old's stance effectively gives Chelsea the green light to push ahead with negotiations, which have already started with the player's entourage.

The Blues are believed to be looking at four goalkeeper options including Leicester City's Mads Hermansen.

Manager Enzo Maresca already has Robert Sanchez, Djordje Petrovic, Marcus Bettinelli and Lucas Bergstrom at Stamford Bridge.

Kevin De Bruyne exit decision

Kevin De Bruyne will stay at Manchester City beyond this summer's transfer deadline despite strong links to Saudi Arabia, according to Pep Guardiola.

"Kevin isn't leaving," said the City boss following reports that De Bruyne had agreed terms with Al-Ittihad.

"If someone leaves, we are going to talk about that and, of course, until the last day [of the transfer window] we have chances," he added.

"I don’t rule out new players as an option, but I think there is an 85, 90, 95 per cent chance we will have the same squad."

Man Utd eye double Monaco deal

Manchester United are eyeing up AS Monaco pair Youssouf Fofana and Vanderson, according to Sky Sports.

Vanderson would be a direct replacement for exit-linked Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the right side of defence.

Fofana, meanwhile, would be a heavyweight signing to strengthen Erik ten Hag's midfield.

United could be left light in the middle of the park if Scott McTominay joins Fulham.

Paris Saint-Germain star Manuel Ugarte is also believed to be a target for the Red Devils.
