Man Utd: The first six fixtures of the new Premier League season
One of Manchester United’s forgotten men could return to the Old Trafford fold, potentially saving the Premier League side millions of pounds they can use to address more pressing transfer needs. The Red Devils are investing heavily in the transfer market this summer, with a move for Jadon Sancho close to completion.

The former Spurs defender still has two years left on his contract, with the Spanish champions demanding a fee in excess of £25million.
Currently, United are unwilling to pay that much, but if Solskjaer pushes for Trippier, that outlay could impact negatively on their attempts to address other weaknesses in the squad.
Raphael Varane has been targeted as the man to solve United’s problems at centre-back, but bringing the Frenchman to Old Trafford will cost more than £50m.
A new defensive midfielder is also being eyed, with Declan Rice currently at the top of United’s shopping list, but prising him from West Ham will also be costly.

With those two areas much more in need of recruits than the right-back position is, United could look to a forgotten man to allow them to fund those moves.
Diogo Dalot impressed on loan at AC Milan last season, making 17 appearances as the Rossinieri secured second place in Serie A.
The 22-year-old made his international debut on Wednesday, as Portugal held on to draw with France.
Rather than spend a significant sum on Trippier, harming their ability to fund other transfer deals, United should instead look to bring Dalot back into the fold and improve the areas of the squad that are currently costing them the Premier League title.
