Euro 2020: Southgate names England preliminary squad
Leeds fans have been left disheartened and angry at Gareth Southgate's decision not to include Patrick Bamford in his England squad for the European Championships. The Three Lions boss has named his provisional 33-man roster for the tournament and there are still seven players to be cut before June 1.

The Manchester United forward hit just seven Premier League goals this season, some 10 less than Bamford and Leeds supporters have taken to Twitter to express their disbelief at the decision.
Leeds tweeted out to confirm midfielder Kalvin Phillips' inclusion but the replies were bombarded with discontent over the omission of Bamford.
One tweeted: "I'm sorry but how can he justify putting Watkins in over Bamford.
"Bamford has more goals, more assists & his work rate matches Watkins. Ridiculous."

A second added: "Watkins and Calvert-Lewin but no Bamford / Harrison?? Joke, even Everton fans have said DCL has been poor for the last 6 months."
While another wrote: "Paddy’s been shafted, absolute joke. Should’ve been the second striker on the list."
"Bamford should have got in! When you look at strikers several taken over him are inferior. His all-round contribution to the team merited selection," said another.
Southgate name-checked Bamford and paid tribute to his performances when leaving him out of his previous squad in March.

After that, Bamford then went five Premier League games without scoring before finishing the campaign strongly with three in four.
As well as scoring 17, the former Chelsea man also provided seven assists for his team-mates.
Yet it wasn't to be for Bamford, barring any late dramatic changes and he will instead have the summer off to recover before going again next season.
