Man Utd not meeting Sancho asking price is 'bizarre' says Cross
Manchester United target Jadon Sancho has had his price slashed by Borussia Dortmund ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports. The England international was previously Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s top target. Yet interest could be resurrected, despite the Norwegian understood to be craving the arrival of Erling Haaland.

The Times report Dortmund are open to selling Sancho for £86million at the end of the campaign, especially if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
And for United, that new price could be within their limit.
They were willing to pay £80m for the England international in the summer transfer window but Dortmund, at the time, wanted £108m to part ways with their prized asset.
And it’ll now be curious to see how United react to their latest twist.
They may have to sell players to raise funds, with the likes of Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Nemanja Matic potentially leaving the club.
Yet what ultimately happens remains to be seen, especially given United’s strong interest in landing Haaland.
The Borussia Dortmund striker, who is expected to start his side’s Champions League showdown with Manchester City tonight, has become the club’s No 1 target.
But with so many other clubs in the mix to land the 20-year-old, United may end up going back in for Sancho instead.
Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke recently claimed the club would listen to significant offers for Sancho, saying: “I’m not getting involved in probabilities, it’s no good.
“Jadon Sancho has been with us much longer than Erling Haaland. We’ll have to speak to Jadon too. If there is an exceptional offer, we will discuss it with the player and the agent, as always.

“Nonetheless, I am very sure that the transfer market will only run to a very limited extent this summer.
“Especially at the very big clubs, you can see what kind of wounds coronavirus has inflicted – and they are not small ones that heal within two weeks.”
Speaking earlier in the season, Louis Saha claimed United should still try to sign Sancho - despite missing out on him in the past.
“It’s unfortunate Man Utd couldn’t get deals in place for Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho last summer because they are two amazing players,” Saha told Ladbrokes.
“I know less about Grealish but I think he would have fitted perfectly into this team – but for me, I’m sorry, Sancho is just such an unbelievable player.

“He’s unpredictable, he’s such a great talent and if he was playing for United with Bruno Fernandes, you just know as a striker you’re going to score goals because of the two of those.
“Man Utd did miss out on the two of them in the summer, but hopefully they’ll have another chance to sign them soon.”
He then added: “My choice of the two would be Sancho over Grealish.
“Both are amazing players and they’d improve any side. They’re so confident and would be really useful for Man Utd’s strikers.
“Fernandes has done a great job in helping United since arriving earlier this year, so could you imagine what another player of his level would do to the team?”
