Roy Keane delivers brutal Champions League prediction for Tottenham after Burnley win
Goals from Harry Kane and Lucas Moura, as well as a Gareth Bale double, saw Spurs thrash Sean Dyche's side to close the gap on the Premier League's top four.
Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane has played down Tottenham’s hopes of claiming a Champions League place. Spurs thrashed Burnley 4-0 on Sunday to close the gap to the top four to six points, but former Manchester United man Keane does not believe they will have enough to steal a spot in the competition.
Spurs cruised to the win over Sean Dyche’s side, with Gareth Bale opening the scoring after just two minutes, before claiming a second goal in the second half.
Bale also set-up Harry Kane to score after 15 minutes, before Lucas Moura sealed the victory 14 minutes before half-time.
Jose Mourinho’s men took home all three points for just the second time in their last seven Premier League games.
After starting the campaign well to seemingly set themselves up as title challengers, Tottenham’s form has dipped since the turn of the year.

That has seen them drop to eighth in the Premier League, with London rivals West Ham currently occupying the all-important fourth place.
And despite dominating against struggling Burnley, Keane does not think they will have enough to overtake the Iron.
“Spurs? Champions League? [Shakes his head],” Keane said on Sky Sports when he was asked if Spurs can claim a Champions League spot after the Burnley win.
“It was easy for them today. I've said it before, Spurs, on their day, a neat, tidy team.

“Spurs have done well today. Listen I've said it before, give them credit over the years. They're a nice team but it was easy for them today,” Keane said.
“When they come up in the big test they usually come up short. They've got the cup competitions - League Cup, Europa League - they'll focus on that. I can't see them getting top four. No chance.”
Spurs can, of course, qualify for a Champions League place by winning the Europa League.
They defeated Austrian side Wolfsberger AC 8-1 on aggregate last week to progress to the last 16 of the competition, where they will face Dinamo Zagreb.
