Liverpool are seemingly closing in on a deal to sign Ben Davies to solve their defensive crisis, but their performance against West Ham showed Michael Edwards may not be finished in the transfer window. Sadio Mane was unavailable due to a minor muscle injury, although the winger is not expected to be out for long.

Origi scored just four six goals in 42 appearances last season as Liverpool went on to win the title and this year his minutes have diminished even more.
Jota's arrival had pushed Origi out of the side altogether at the start of the season but he's now been relied upon to start two of Liverpool's last four Premier League matches.
He failed to impress against Burnley as the Reds fell to a disappointing 1-0 defeat.
And the 25-year-old once again struggled to trouble West Ham's defensive line alongside Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool's main priority over the next 24 hours is to bring in defensive cover with Fabinho, Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez all currently out injured.
Reports have suggested a deal is being worked on to sign Preston's Davies in a deal worth up to £2million.
His potential arrival will come as a huge relief to Klopp with Liverpool desperate for more cover at the back.

But Origi's dismal form over the past 18 months highlights an area where Liverpool may next look to improve.
Manchester City have an abundance of options in the front three positions.
They've also had their injury woes this season, but Pep Guardiola has had the options available to him to fill in when needed with City maintaining their good form at the top of the table.
In order for Liverpool to copy City's success, they may need to bring in more quality options up front to rival the usual trio while also giving them ample rest.
