Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho has opened up on his struggles following his failed move to Manchester United. The England international has struggled to replicate last season's form this term, sparking suggestions that he is feeling the effects of last summer's transfer speculation.
It was a saga that went on and on but in the end, Sancho stayed put at Dortmund, where he remains a focal point in Lucien Favre's exciting team.
Sancho was on target last night in the Champions League for the German side, scoring a fine free-kick in a 3-0 win over Club Brugge.
The encouraging display clearly delight Sancho, who was an unused substitute on Saturday in the 5-2 win at Hertha Berlin.
After last night's win, the 20-year-old cast further light on his difficult start to the campaign, following months of exhausting transfer speculation.

"I am just happy that I am playing," Sancho told DAZN in a rare post-match interview.
"I have coaches and teammates that believe in me. Recently, it's been a hard situation for me.
"But it's all about how I come back and have performances like this. They will hopefully get me back to the top, how I was playing before."
Sancho was on target for England two weeks ago in their 3-0 win over the Republic of Ireland at Wembley.

His involvement for the Three Lions was limited against Belgium and Iceland though, as he came off the bench in both Nations League matches.
The winger issued an emphatic response after the Ireland win, when asked if talk of a move to United had directly impacted his form.
“No, I don’t think so,” he said. “Every player has a little dip in their career and I feel like I’m going through that at the moment.
“It is just how I am bouncing back and I’m just happy to have managers who have faith in me and keep starting me.

“I’m just happy to be starting for England. Every time I play I try to do my best, luckily enough I got the goal and I’m happy to help the team once again.”
United have not given up on Sancho yet though and are expected to return with another bid in the future.
The Red Devils had an offer of around £90million rejected in October, which fell £18m short of Dortmund's £108m valuation.
Sancho was reportedly ready to move to Old Trafford but not prepared to force through his Dortmund exit.
