Premier League: Dunn on Tottenham's chances of winning title
Jose Mourinho wants to bolster his squad further in 2021 but Tottenham will reportedly need to sell before looking at making any more signings. Spurs made some big changes in the summer with Daniel Levy giving the green light to seven new signings.
Mourinho was desperate to have more cover in every position and Tottenham fulfilled his wish.
Joe Hart came in to replace Michel Vorm while Sergio Reguilon and Matt Doherty were signed to bolster the options at full-back.
Pierre-Emile Hojberg also came in to help provide some stability to Tottenham's midfield with Carlos Vinicius joining on loan from Benfica to provide back up to Harry Kane.
The big surprise came when Levy was able to negotiate a loan move for Gareth Bale to return to north London.
Davinson Sanchez remains the quickest option at centre-back, but he's fallen out of favour this campaign.
And the report suggests Sanchez could be sold next year in order to help target another centre-back.
A loan exit in January is touted as a possibility, while Dele Alli and Danny Rose are also expected to leave.
It is said that no definitive plan has been made and what happens between now and January could shape what Tottenham do in the mid-season transfer market.
