Cristiano Ronaldo scores stunning goal against Spezia
Manchester United have reportedly submitted a "formal offer" to the agent of Cristiano Ronaldo in an attempt to bring the Portuguese superstar back to Old Trafford. Reports in recent days have linked Juventus star Ronaldo with a return to United and a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
This week it has been claimed that Ronaldo would be tempted by a move back to United.
Fox America journalist Christian Martin said Juve were willing to negotiate a transfer with United.
Ronaldo left United in 2009 after scoring 118 goals in 292 appearances for the club.
The forward has gone on to become arguably the greatest player of his generation, alongside Barcelona's Lionel Messi, in a stellar career at Real Madrid, Juventus and his national side Portugal.

In 2014, he said: “I love Manchester. Everyone knows that. Manchester is in my heart.
“The supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day.”
Three years later he insisted “nothing is impossible" when asked if he would move back to United at some point in his career.
Also in 2017, he praised the United fans while criticising the Real Madrid support.

"I don’t like it and it’s not normal that they whistle you in your own stadium. I just don’t like it,” Ronaldo said.
"It’s not correct. And when you are on a difficult run that is when you need extra support from outside not less. Sometimes we don’t have it.
"I spent a lot of years at Manchester United and it never happened to me. Not even once. Maybe England is a case apart – the mentality is different."
