Man Utd: Solskjaer's players may get him sacked claims Keane
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to exercise a ruthless streak if he's going to turn the Manchester United ship around, according to his former team-mate Dwight Yorke. The Norwegian is already under mounting pressure at Old Trafford after just three league games of the new season.
Defeats at the hands of Crystal Palace and Tottenham - the latter of which saw them suffer an embarrassing 6-1 loss - has once again raised questions over his ability to lead the team.
United's mauling at the hands of Spurs prompted a late splurge in the transfer market from Solskjaer, who acquired the services of four players on deadline day.
Yorke has been less than impressed by what he's seen of his old side this campaign and has urged his former team-mate to give his players a serious kick up the backside.
During an appearance on talkSPORT, he said: "The manager has to believe he can inject that energy. It looked a bit lacklustre.

"We need some leaders. We need winners on the football pitch.
“Until we get that on a consistent basis, we seem to make one step forwards and two steps back at the moment. We need to find a way to be consistent.
“I’m not sure he’s going to get them by the scruff of the neck. He’s not a Roy Keane by any means.
“He has a different style of management but I expect him at least to be having some stern words.
“He has to address the players in no uncertain ways and get people to be pulling their weight in the team.
“I’m sure there will be some harsh words said.
"We haven’t seen this side of Ole but I’m sure he’s got that ruthlessness inside him as well.”
Solskjaer's future at the Old Trafford helm - which he's resided in since replacing Jose Mourinho in December 2018 - is said to be in major doubt.

According to the Daily Star, the United brass have sounded out former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino - who is currently a free agent - as a replacement for the struggling Scandinavian.
It's claimed United have already been in contact with the Argentine, who is said to be keen on taking the job.
Solskjaer's current contract at the Theatre of Dreams is set to expire in March 2022.
United will look to get back to winning ways a week on Saturday when they travel to St James' Park to take on Newcastle.
