Man Utd: Edinson Cavani transfer is a ‘win-win’ says expert
Manchester United have struck an agreement with Edinson Cavani but they could still sign Jadon Sancho before the transfer deadline. Cavani is set to sign a two-year contract at Old Trafford and provide competition to the likes of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.
Cavani will earn around £220,000-a-week at United with his experience seen as a key asset.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer expects the 33-year-old to help the likes of Martial, Rashford and Mason Greenwood with their development as attackers.
Some United fans may now think any chance of signing Sancho is over but there is a reason to be more optimistic.
Dortmund have played hard ball all summer and haven't budged on their £108million asking price - something Ed Woodward thinks is unrealistic to pay in the current climate.
But United have not completely given up on signing the England winger.

Ahead of the match, Solskjaer has underlined how important October will be for his team and challenging on all fronts.
"It’s an important month in terms of results, looking at the teams we’re playing against," he said.
"But also we need that fitness coming up. How can we deal with all these games?
"The Champions League will be in there. We’ll get a good feeling of where we’re at."
