Chelsea: Mason Mount mocks teammate Antonio Rudiger
Chelsea selling Antonio Rudiger to Paris Saint-Germain is a deal that would make sense for both clubs, because the Blues can get decent money for the centre-back and PSG need to replace Thiago Silva. That’s the opinion of Liverpool icon Steve Nicol, who believes the deal will likely happen before the window closes.
Rudiger is expected to leave Chelsea this summer after an influx of new arrivals. The Blues have spent £250million to strengthen their side, and didn’t spend anything to bring in Silva from PSG.
The Brazilian is expected to become the new leader of Chelsea’s defence, and will likely play alongside either Andreas Christensen or Kurt Zouma.
However, the Blues are still keen on signing Declan Rice from West Ham, and the youngster would likely be a regular starter alongside Silva.
West Ham are playing hardball and demanding a fee in the region of £73m, though the sale of Rudiger would help fund that.

Rudiger hasn’t been involved for the Blues this season amid reports he has fallen out with Frank Lampard. The German still has two years to run on his current deal, and will likely cost a significant amount for any interested teams.
Barcelona and PSG are believed to be the two frontrunners to sign him, with the French champions slightly ahead in the race.
PSG are in the market for a replacement for Silva, who they lost at the end of his contract this summer.
And Nicol believes a move to sign Rudiger makes complete sense for them as he would be able to slot straight into the side.
