Man Utd: Solskjaer addresses transfers after Palace defeat
Manchester United have reportedly struck a breakthrough with Porto to make left-back Alex Telles their second summer signing. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been frustrated in this transfer window because his club have only captured one new player so far in Donny van de Beek.
Most of United's transfer efforts have been focussed on trying to capture Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
But time is ticking to strengthen other areas of the squad and they have to move ahead with the rest of their transfer business.
Solskjaer had placed Sergio Reguilon on his wishlist but the Red Devils refused to agree to Real Madrid's buyback clause so the defender headed to Tottenham.
Next up on United's shortlist is Telles and talks have been progressing well.
Personal terms have apparently been agreed and the 27-year-old expects to be announced as a United player this week.

The Guardian claims Telles is hopeful of linking up with his new team-mates ahead of this weekend's trip to Brighton.
The Brazilian has a £36.5million release clause but because he is in the final year of his contract the Red Devils are trying to negotiate a lower fee.

"It can give us a boost. When you look around at how other teams are strengthening their teams, then we must also do it to keep up with the others.
"Possibly everything went wrong.

"Personally, from my point of view, the pre-season that we've had altogether is not the correct way it should have been. We've had a week all together.
"My first day back training: I could have probably counted on one hand the number of people who were training. We have only been back a week all together.
"Look at teams who have been together a while, training, playing games.
"I think Palace have played quite a few more games than us and it showed tonight. We lacked that fitness and confidence."
