Arsenal: Mikel Arteta reacts to 2-1 over West Ham
Eddie Nketiah admits he was thrilled to have bagged the winner in Arsenal's first home game of the new Premier League season. The Gunners welcomed West Ham to the Emirates on Saturday night and were looking to maintain their 100 per cent start to the new season.
An early goal from Alexandre Lacazette got the north Londoners up and running, although the Frenchman's header was cancelled out right before the stroke of half-time by Michail Antonio.
West Ham defended resolutely from there onwards, but they were eventually breached in the 85th minute when Nketiah tapped home from just outside of the six-yard box.
Nketiah's match-winner was his third league goal for the Gunners, which he was over the moon about in his post-match interview.
"It's nice to get on the pitch and help the team out," the second-half substitute told Sky Sports.

Nketiah's goal came courtesy of an assist from Dani Ceballos, whom he clashed with last weekend ahead of the FA Cup winners' opening-day rout of Fulham.
"Obviously, there was a bit of a coming together," Nketiah said of his angry reaction to Ceballos. "I was a bit upset at the challenge he put in. And obviously the reaction was there.
"But we made up pretty quickly and got on with it. That's what happens in life.
"It was nice for him to make the assist for me today. So it's all love now."

The young striker was quick to hail the Real Madrid loanee for his crucial assist, adding: "It was a great pass and cross and good vision from him.
"I just tried to stay onside and make sure I was behind the ball. It was a pretty easy finish from there, but it was a great ball from Dani."
England Under-21 international Nketiah also praised West Ham for their valiant effort at the Emirates.
"West Ham made it very difficult," he said. "In the second half, they came out really strong and we had to keep going.
"We knew it was going to be a patient game and that we'd have to keep passing and keep moving. The chances were there at the end, and luckily we put it away."
Ultimately, Nketiah was most pleased with his match-winning contribution and helping the team maintain their winning start to the new campaign.
"That's all I want to do," he said. "Keep helping the team and improving as a player.
"Like you said, to come on and get the win is a great feeling. I'm delighted with the three points and the goal."
