Manchester United have agreed a five-year contract with Porto left-back Alex Telles, according to reports. French football reporter Mohamed Bouhafsi claims an agreement has been reached between United and the Brazil international. The Red Devils must now thrash out a fee with Porto for the 27-year-old.
"[United] have been looking for a left-sided, left-footed centre-back and a left-back, or a full-back of some type, preferably a left-footed left-back," Castles said on the Transfer Window podcast.
"I can tell you that they've been offered the Porto left-back Alex Telles.

"Twenty-seven year old, relatively cheap wages, €2m gross but out of contract in June 2021.
"Porto I'm told want €25m for the player who has been offered to Paris Saint-Germain, that deal hasn't been able to be concluded.
"The agent involved is Pini Zahavi, who does quite a lot of business out of Portugal and actually was involved in some stage in Neymar's deal [to PSG in 2017]."
United have made just one signing so far this summer in Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer discussed the prospects of bringing in further new players at his pre-match press conference on Friday.
"Of course, we've done some business with Donny, I'm very happy and delighted to get him in," Solskjaer said.
"An exceptional, smashing lad that'll give us something. I can't say anything about other clubs' players out of respect for them, I can't speculate.
"We understand that to get even further, one, we need to develop what we have and, two, we need strengthen the team.

"But let's wait and see if we manage to bring anyone in. I've been in dialogue with the club, we're always discussing and, hopefully, let's see if we can bring anyone in."
United start their Premier League campaign at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday (5.30pm).
