Man Utd: Pundits discuss possible Jadon Sancho transfer
Manchester United legend Paul Ince has compared Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho to Ryan Giggs. The 20-year-old star is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s main target for the transfer window. But negotiations with the Bundesliga side have been tricky and, at the current time, the deal is up in the air.
Manchester United boss Solskjaer has spent the last 18 months tracking Sancho and, this summer, is hopeful of signing the Borussia Dortmund star.
The Norwegian feels the 20-year-old can be the ticket to Premier League title glory next term, despite having Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood already at his disposal.
United have so far struggled to reach a breakthrough in negotiations with Dortmund, with Ed Woodward unwilling to fork out £108million on the England international.
Yet Ince has talked up the Dortmund star and compared him to Ryan Giggs.
“He’s been an absolute revelation and reminds me of Ryan Giggs in the way he gets bums off seats, Ince told the Daily Star.
“If he does come back to the UK it’s about picking the right manager and style of team for him.

“There’s no rush for him. He can take his time and he’s still got lots to learn.
“Sancho can keep developing at Dortmund. He doesn’t want to return to the Premier League and regret it.”
While United want Sancho, Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson feels they should be using their money on trying to prise Harry Kane away from Tottenham instead.
"Manchester United should forget Jadon Sancho and sign Harry Kane instead - it would make them title contenders," Merson said.
"With Sancho, it’s a transfer saga that’s dragging on now, and I keep on weighing it up thinking: ‘Is this what United really need?’
"They’ve got Mason Greenwood, who’s going to be a star. Marcus Rashford is only going to get better and better.
"But while Anthony Martial lets nobody down, I think they need an out and out centre forward. With Sancho, where is everyone going to play? Do they leave Greenwood out?
"I just think with £100m, why don’t you go and get Kane from Tottenham? Over 38 games, Harry Kane will score more goals for you than Sancho. I think they have a chance of winning the Premier League if he goes there.
"Would he go? You’d have to ask serious questions of him if he didn’t!
“Winning trophies is the name of the game and he has a much better chance of doing that at United than Spurs."
