Kalidou Koulibaly: Pundits discuss option of Man Utd or Chelsea
Manchester United have earmarked four defenders as they look to bring in another centre-back to partner captain Harry Maguire. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to make several additions to his squad and he has identified the heart of defence as an area in need of improvement.
Victor Lindelof has been largely reliable this season but there has been some suggestion that United's current backline is not good enough to win them the Premier League.
The form of David de Gea hasn't helped but now Solskjaer wants to find more balance at the back.
He currently has two right-footed centre-backs which at times has caused problems for his side when trying to play out from the back.
Solskjaer approached Nathan Ake after the 5-2 win over Bournemouth and joked that he should "keep going" because they need to sign a left-footed defender.

Tyrone Mings is also on the agenda and a cut-price deal could be on the cards if Aston Villa are relegated on Sunday.
AC Milan's Alessio Romagnoli is the final contender and he has already captained the Italian giants at the age of just 25.
Manchester United legend Gary Neville thinks the club need just two top class additions to put the pressure on Liverpool and Manchester City, including a centre-back.

“You think about Liverpool signing [Virgil] Van Dijk and Alisson in goal.
“One or two more signings or [Paul] Pogba and one more signing playing to their absolute best. I think United can get closer.”
When asked which areas they need to improve, Neville added: “Centre-back, you look at the impact Van Dijk had.
“Maguire has had a really strong impact but another real strong centre-back.
“They’ve still got to be defensively sound. One more signing and United can challenge.”
