Man Utd v West Ham: Solskjaer reacts to team's draw
Manchester United need to sign a defensive partner for club captain Harry Maguire, according to former West Ham centre-back James Collins. Maguire has had a solid first season at United following his £80million move from Leicester City last summer. The England international was made skipper by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in January.
Maguire has often been partnered by Victor Lindelof at the back and the pair were a success in the club's recent 19-match unbeaten run in all competitions.
But Collins believes an upgrade is needed alongside Maguire and reckons it could help the 27-year-old flourish at Old Trafford.
"I think they need another centre-half to play alongside Maguire," Collins said on Sky Sports.
"There's no doubting Maguire, the ability's there.

"I'm not convinced about that [if they can take United to the next level].
"And to be fair we were talking about [West Ham] will target David de Gea tonight but I think Michail Antonio will target Harry Maguire and it will be a tough game for Maguire tonight."
And former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood agrees, saying Maguire is not the answer for United.
"I think [Aaron] Wan-Bissaka is improving, he's getting stronger," Sherwood told Premier League Productions.

"Lindelof and Maguire are a big worry for me. I think they need a dominant centre-back in there, I don't think Maguire is the answer.
"If they want to play higher up the field I think you'll get exposed in one v one situations.
"Lindelof, I feel he's still getting better."
