Man Utd vs Chelsea: Lampard reacts to FA Cup semi-final win
Chelsea have been backed in their bid to sign West Ham ace Declan Rice this summer, becuase the Hammers could have a ready-made replacement in their squad already. According to Jamie Redknapp, West Ham chiefs might not view it as a worst-case scenario if Rice departs the club because of Tomas Soucek.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is believed to be desperate to sign Rice this summer.
Having already forked out £90million on attacking stars Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, the head coach is expected to turn his attention towards his defence.
The Blues have been poor at the back this season, and have conceded 49 goals - more than any other team in the top ten.
As a result, Lampard reportedly wants to sign a new left-back - believed to be Ben Chilwell - and a centre-back.

The 25-year-old arrived on loan from Slavia Prague in January with a club option to make his stay permanent.
He has quickly won over the West Ham fanbase with his performances in the defensive midfield position, and played a starring role in Friday night's 3-1 win over Watford.
Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, Redknapp explained that despite Rice being the "beating heart" of the side, Soucek could be the perfect replacement if the youngster leaves.
"West Ham's owners will be delighted but at the same time frustrated," he said.
