Man Utd 'keeping number 7 shirt free for Sancho' claims pundit
Manchester United signing Jadon Sancho "will be one of the first transfers that go through" when the window opens, reckons former Red Devils defender Danny Higginbotham. Borussia Dortmund and England winger Sancho is United's No 1 target heading into the summer window. The 20-year-old had a fine season in the Bundesliga, scoring 17 goals and contributing 16 assists in his 32 appearances for Dortmund.
United and Dortmund are yet to come to an agreement over a fee for Sancho but Higginbotham believes a deal will get done.
"Very likely, in my honest opinion, I think it's very, very likely," he told Stadium Astro.
"It's a position that they need to strengthen. I think Dan James has done well, a little bit raw but I think he has done well, [Mason] Greenwood's come onto the scene and been absolutely magnificent.
"But I think with Sancho he can play on the right, he can play on the left as well so he gives you that ability to be able to play in a few different positions within that front four.

"I think Borussia Dortmund will probably give Manchester United a price, I'm sure it will be over-inflated because it always is when it comes to Manchester United buying players and I think it's up to United then to look at an agreement that they can come to.
"But we know that Sancho has been in and around the England squad with the likes of [Marcus] Rashford, with the likes of [Jesse] Lingard, with the likes of [Harry] Maguire, so I think it's a deal that could be done.
"I would go as far to say that when the transfer window opens, that I believe it will be one of the first transfers that go through."
Sancho has recently spoken about a potential move to United.

"I don't know what to say to that," Sancho told World Soccer Magazine when asked of his links to United.
"It's hard to say. That's the future.
"You never know what could happen, so we will wait and see."
