“Man City will be buoyed by their victory in the CAS, ensuring they can play European football next season, and Betfair Exchange feels they will have a relatively straightforward task in beating Arsenal this weekend, with a 70% chance of victory.
“The game between United and Chelsea is considered to be a much tighter affair, with United the narrow favourites, having a 42% chance of victory according to Betfair Exchange.
“Man City are strongly fancied to ultimately lift the trophy come August, with Betfair Exchange rating them a 60% chance of taking the trophy home, but local rivals Manchester United will ensure they don’t get it the easy way, and they are the second favourites with a 20% chance of winning the tournament according to Betfair Exchange.
“This suggests an overall 80% chance that the trophy is Manchester-bound, which will do little to please either of the London clubs, both of whom would welcome any silverware they can get at the moment.”
