Man Utd: Bruno Fernandes shows off impressive skills in training
A Manchester United coach shouted at Bruno Fernandes when it looked like the club were going to get a late penalty against Tottenham on Friday, it has been claimed. The Portugal international scored from 12 yards to earn his side a point in the Premier League showdown between the two teams. But the Red Devils came close to getting a second penalty late in the day - one that Marcus Rashford would have taken.
Manchester United are still unbeaten in 2020, with Tottenham denied all three points during a blockbuster Premier League clash on Friday night.
Spurs took the lead through Steven Bergwijn, who opened the scoring with a low drive that slipped under David De Gea.
But United earned a penalty in the second half, with Eric Dier fouling Paul Pogba inside the area. Fernandes then stepped up to equalise and earn his side a point.
The Red Devils nearly got a second penalty late on, however.
Referee Jon Moss pointed to the spot after Fernandes went down in the area. Afterwards, Rashford took the ball as if to take it.

And the Manchester Evening News say that, at this point, a United coach got up and shouted at Fernandes.
They wanted the Portugal international to take the spot-kick, particularly given he’s scored both of his attempts for the club so far.
However, in the end, VAR saw the rewarding of the penalty reversed - with Tottenham let off the hook.
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho was ‘really upset’ with both penalty incidents from the showdown, saying after the match: “On the first penalty, the referee, Jonathan [Moss] – he made his decision and I agree it’s difficult for referees but then the VAR is a different story.
“Referees can make mistakes but I don’t think VAR should make mistakes [in terms of not overruling].
“The second penalty is incredible. It’s a foul on Serge Aurier which should kill the situation and then there is a situation in the box [with Fernandes diving].
“I feel when the VAR goes for a simulation, the player should be exposed and [given] a yellow card.
“So I feel really upset with these two decisions but that’s the way it is.”
Fernandes denied diving after the game, however, with the United star protesting his innocence in front of the cameras.
“No, I kick the ball and as I kick the ball I found his foot,” said the 25-year-old.
