Cristiano Ronaldo snubbed from Europe's top 10 most valuable list but Lionel Messi in
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi battled it out to be top dog in Spain for years at Real Madrid and Barcelona - but they are no longer considered Europe's most significant stars in the country.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are no longer the most valuable players in European football. That’s according to market valuation website Transfermarkt who rate PSG’s Kylian Mbappe as the new top dog of the continent.
His Barcelona team-mate Antoine Griezmann is listed at 10th, with an estimated value of £113m.
Next is Borussia Dortmund and England winger Jadon Sancho. The ex-Manchester City man is expected to be sold to a Premier League side this summer, and he’s said to be worth the same amount as World Cup winner Griezmann.
Messi is next up with a valuation of £132m, with Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City), Harry Kane (Tottenham) and Liverpool pair Mohamed Salah and Said Mane then in seventh, sixth, fifth and fourth place in the list at the same price of £141m.
Neymar is third on the list at £151m - some way short of the £19m PSG paid to get him out of Barcelona back in 2017.

England and Manchester City star Raheem Sterling is second on the list with the same £151m valuation as Neymar, with Mbappe rated as European football’s most valuable player at a whopping £188m.
Mbappe was asked about his future in January in an interview with the BBC.
On persistent links with a move to Real Madrid, the 21-year-old said: “Everyone talks about it – when I was young I talked about it too. But now I’m a player and I know it’s not the moment.
“We are in January – it’s the money time of the season. Imagine I answer your question and say something. Everybody will talk about it and it’s not good for PSG.

“Now I’m with PSG and I’m 100% with the club. I want to help the club grow this season, to win a lot of titles, so for me it’s not good to talk about [my future].
"I think about the club because the club helped me. I came here at 18. I was a talent but I was not a superstar. Now I’m a superstar, thanks to PSG and the French national team.
“I have to stay calm and stay focused on PSG. After that, at the end of the season, we will see. But now I’m focused on my game.”
