Man Utd: Bruno Fernandes is ‘fantastic’ says Steve Nicol
Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes impressed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s coaching staff just 13 minutes into his debut, reports say. The Portugal international signed on the dotted line from Sporting Lisbon during the January transfer window and has made an instant impact, scoring three and assisting three from eight matches.
Manchester United were linked with Fernandes in the summer but, ultimately, waited until the January transfer window before bringing the 25-year-old to Old Trafford.
The former Sporting star has been sensational in the time since, lighting up the Premier League and boosting the Red Devils’ chances of a top four finish in the process.
And Bleacher Report say United staff were left impressed by Fernandes just 20 minutes into his Premier League debut.
That was against Wolves in January, with the 25-year-old impressing in a goalless draw.
Fernandes went into a 50-50 challenge with his Portuguese team-mate Joao Moutinho, going in with gusto.

Solskjaer himself has claimed that his new recruit has the ‘X-factor’ and hailed the characteristics of the playmaker.
"He works hard," the Norwegian said.
“He's humble enough, he's got the desire, commitment, but he's also got the X-factor.
"He's a risk taker, he's got courage, he's brave enough to make mistakes and if you make enough mistakes they'll be corrected into fantastic assists or goals."
Former United star Owen Hargreaves lauded Fernandes after his last outing against LASK on Thursday.

"Every time he gets the ball he makes something happen,' Hargreaves said.
"Fernandes is on fire - he created five chances in that first half.
"Like De Bruyne, he plays at his own speed - he's never rushed, finds pockets of space.
"He has given everyone at the club a lift."
The win was United's fifth in eight games since Fernandes came into the side, with the Portuguese ace yet to taste defeat for the Red Devils.
