Coronavirus: Arsenal's Mikel Arteta tests positive for COVID-19
The Premier League will hold an emergency meeting after it was confirmed that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has tested positive for coronavirus. The league will meet with team officials to discuss the ramifications for this weekend's games.
Arsenal confirmed late on Thursday that boss Arteta has tested positive for coronavirus.
Days after their match against Manchester City was postponed and players were entered into quarantine after meeting Olympiakos owner Evangelos Marinakis, it has now been confirmed that players will re-enter isolation.
This throws Saturday's game against Brighton in the Premier League into significant doubt, as it seems near impossible that the game will be played.
Earlier on Thursday, the Premier League had confirmed that games would continue as normal, but now they are set to meet again and will likely take the decision to suspend the league.

In a statement, the league confirmed: "In light of Arsenal’s announcement tonight confirming that their first-team coach Mikel Arteta has tested positive for COVID-19, the Premier League will convene an emergency club meeting tomorrow morning regarding future fixtures.
"The Premier League will make no further comment until after that meeting."
In a statement of their own, Arsenal confirmed they would be unable to play some of their upcoming fixtures on the scheduled dates.
The statement read: "Arsenal personnel who had recent close contact with Mikel will now self-isolate in line with Government health guidelines. We expect this to be a significant number of people from Colney, including the full first-team squad and coaching staff, as well as a smaller number of people from our Hale End Academy which we have also temporarily closed as a precaution.
