But, Lennon is keen to bring Ibe to Celtic Park tonight, as he continues his search for a winger.
Celtic have been looking for a new wide midfielder after Mikey Johnson was injured against St Johnstone on Wednesday.
The club are now dangerously short on options, after winger Mohamed Elyounoussi is also sidelined.
Former Manchester City star Scott Sinclair would have been the replacement for both players, but he joined Preston North End earlier this month.
