Celtic categorically denied the claims that they were in talks with Wanyama, with the defensive midfielder set to remain in north London.
Wanyama’s numerous injury problems have caused him to fall down the hierarchy at Tottenham, with Eric Dier, Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele, Gedson Fernandes and Giovani Lo Celso all ahead of him.
This season, he’s only made two Premier League appearances, for a combined 24 minutes of action.
He was set to leave Tottenham during the summer, in a £13m move to Club Brugge. But the Kenya international decided against the move.

Wanyama spent two years at Celtic, between 2011 and 2013.
He was signed from Belgian side Beerschot in a £990,000, and was later sold to Southampton for £13m.
After impressing at St Mary’s in the Premier League, Spurs eventually made their move for the Kenya captain.
He moved to north London for £13m, and has since made 97 appearances for Tottenham.
